Manila, June 2007: DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, and Gawad Kalinga volunteers officially opened the 2007-2008 academic year of Sibol school in Baseco Compound, Tondo, Manila. The school was built under DHL Helping Lives, a local corporate sustainability program that embraces DHL?s aim to foster local development in the communities where it operates. The program is in line with DHL's regional community investment initiative on Supporting Future Generations, which aims to provide the youth with quality education, healthcare and a sustainable environment. The students of Sibol school also received free school supplies from DHL.
